Cannon Automata has been awarded the supply of a new supervision and control system for the pumping station of a major site in Central Italy, one of the region’s most significant public hydraulic works.
This initiative is part of a broader strategy to manage and modernize Italy’s large-scale water infrastructure — strategic resources for the country’s future. Built up over the last century, these works have played (and will continue to play) a decisive role in agricultural, industrial, and civil development, ensuring a safe and reliable water supply while making some areas among the most productive in Italy.
The project involves a complete technological revamp, aimed at replacing and upgrading the management system for the four main pumps currently in operation, along with installing four additional new pumps. This integration will expand the plant’s capacity while ensuring greater reliability, safety, and operational continuity.
Specifically, the supply includes:
- Innovative SCADA Ignition system for advanced supervision and real-time process management
- Schneider M580 system in a redundant configuration, ensuring maximum availability and resilience
